With 1.1" diameter and 0.5" thickness, TB28 precious-metal dc brush motor is recommended for use in portable, battery-powered designs that require high efficiency in a small package. Electrical specifications for the pancake motor include 85% efficiency at optimum point, rare earth magnets, voltages of 4, 6, 9, 12 or 24 vdc, quick starting, low starting voltage, and low electrical noise (thanks to damping capacitors). Mechanical specs include low rotor inertia, mechanical time constant of 20 ms, precious metal alloy commutator and brushes, bidirectional operation, and operating temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. No-load speed is 5050 rpm for 9V and 6200 rpm for 12V operation.
