The VSP2100 is a complete mixed-signal processing IC that provides CCD signal conditioning and high resolution, 10-bit A/D conversion for use in capturing images in digital camera and PC camera applications. Operating from 2.7V to 36V at 160 mW at 2.7V, the chip is useful for portable equipment using battery power. Its primary CCD channel offers correlated double sampling to extract the video information from the pixels, 0 to 34 dB gain range with digital control for varying illumination conditions, and black level clamping for an accurate black reference. Conversion rate is 27 MHz with no missing codes.
