Allowing United Kingdom (UK) viewers to watch digital terrestrial TV (DTT) channels on their analog TVs, the DTTi5516 integrates a terrestrial demodulator and a MPEG decoder in a 27 mm x 27 mm PBGA package. The device also includes a CPU and enhanced graphics capabilities, making it suitable for use in set-top boxes that employ the DVB-Multimedia Home Platform. It meets all the requirements of the UK market and is supported by a large number of software developers, both in the UK and in mainland Europe.
