The Venus VXS-1, a recent addition to the Quixilica Family of 6U VME boards, is claimed as the only VXS product to combine FPGA technology with five high-resolution, 105-MHz a/d conversion channels. The board is available with a wide range of IP cores either as pre-integrated or as modular IP functions for integration with the user’s application-specific IP. Available IP cores include FFT, digital receiver, digital filter, QR decomposition, and floating-point library functions. Additionally, the Virtex II Pro V2P70 FPGA on the Venus provides 33,000 logic slices, allowing for a wide range of functions to be implemented within the device. Pricing starts at $18,900 for single-unit quantities. TEK MICROSYSTEMS INC., Chelmsford, MA. (978) 244-9200.
