SBC Uses Only 3W Of Power

Sept. 1, 2000

Available in versions for Windows CE and thin-client applications, the Nimble Engine single-board computer uses only 3W of power from a 24-Vdc power supply. Using a Hitachi RISC CPU with 16 MB of SDRAM, the board is claimed to be highly reliable based on the fact it has no fan or hard drive and uses non-volatile memory. Networking and I/O features include two Ethernet ports, one RS-232 port, and an RS-232/485 port that is software switchable. The board supports TFT and passive STN flat panels and CRTs, as well as resolutions of VGA, SVGA and XGA.
