SIP DC/DC Converters Deliver Up To 10A

June 1, 2001
The USN series D5 single in-line package (SIP) dc/dc converters are non-isolated converters that accept a 5V input and deliver 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V or 3.3V outputs at either 8A or 10A. Providing industry-standard pinouts, they measure 51 mm x 13 mm x 10

The USN series D5 single in-line package (SIP) dc/dc converters are non-isolated converters that accept a 5V input and deliver 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V or 3.3V outputs at either 8A or 10A. Providing industry-standard pinouts, they measure 51 mm x 13 mm x 10 mm and occupy just 0.8 in.2 of printed-circuit board space.
Based on a 200 kHz, fully synchronous buck topology, these converters provide a ±1% set-point accuracy, efficiencies up to 91%, noise figures as low as 25 mVp-p, stable no-load operation, remote on/off control, a wide range of trimmable outputs, and an optional sense pin.
The devices are EMC compliant as well as IEC950, UL 1950 and EN60950 certified. Other features include undervoltage shutdown, and short-circuit protection. Pricing is $27 each/ 10,000.
