Providing a data transfer rate of 1.25 Gb/s, the S7861 and S7861-02 silicon PIN photodiodes are said to be well-suited for use in high-speed, optical communications systems, such as Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet systems. Both devices have a dynamic range of -21 dBm to +3 dBm, rise times of 300 ps, and a photosensitivity of 1 V/mW. They also feature an integrated transimpedance amplifier, an active area of ø0.2m, and a circumference of ø5.4m. The S7861's housing measures 3.65-mm high and the S7861-02 measures 3.88-mm high and has a lens over the window. Pricing is $14 each/10,000 with a delivery time of nine weeks ARO.
