A reference design for battery energy storage systems (BESS), introduced at embedded world by Dukosi, represents a comprehensive solution incorporating 54 cells—currently the norm for battery-module configurations in a 900- to 1,500-V BESS rack.
The design integrates the Dukosi Cell Monitoring System (DKCMS) with C-SynQ proprietary communications, as well as an industry-standard battery-management system (BMS) host processor. Created in collaboration with eInfochips, an Arrow Electronics Company, this reference design is an end-to-end BMS using DKCMS for full-size BESS applications.

The solution, developed to accelerate DKCMS-based design, promotes the adoption of Dukosi’s innovative contactless battery-cell-monitoring solutions. Offering the performance, reliability, and safety required for next-generation, large-scale battery storage systems, DKCMS with C-SynQ provides best-in-class voltage accuracy and granular temperature measurements from every cell. It synchronously captures data from all Cell Monitors and delivers it with deterministic latency to the System Hub, which interfaces with the BMS host processor.
